Meet Our Team

Gabi Diez
Gabi is passionate about building food systems that are both ecologically and socially sustainable. As a recent graduate of the University of Toronto, they completed a double major in Environmental Science and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. Throughout their degree, their research interests focused on the intersection of regenerative agricultural and species at risk conservation. Specifically, they spearheaded pollinator habitat restoration projects within food growing spaces. Gabi has also worked with grassroots and hands-on initiatives by managing community gardens on and off the U of T campus. They are excited to continue this work and promote access to sustainable, affordable, healthy, and culturally relevant food while empowering communities with the knowledge and tools to create a more just and resilient food system.
