Thistletown CI (TCI)

The Grow-to-Learn garden at Thistletown Collegiate Institute is a testament to the power of community collaboration and sustainable urban farming. In 2023, the garden produced 1340.3 lbs of fresh produce, worth approximately $5,083.00 in market value. This garden serves as a dynamic outdoor classroom, providing students with hands-on learning experiences in gardening, sustainability, and community building. The produce harvested from this garden contributes significantly to local food security initiatives.

Student Volunteer Hours: Available for high school students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30pm.

Community Volunteer Hours: Starting on April 19th, we will welcome community volunteers on Friday’s from 10am-1pm through to the end of August. Please email madison@pactprogram.ca for more information on how to sign up!
