Meet Our Team

Fiona has been working in urban agriculture for over 5 years. Her interest began while studying in Kingston where she worked for a local food sovereignty non-profit focused on connecting local farmers to community members who faced barriers to accessing local produce; running pay-what-you-can markets; and coordinating a community training farm connecting participants to jobs in local agriculture. At this time, Fiona also completed her BAH in Global Development at Queen's, with a specific focus on food systems. 

Since moving to the city 2 years ago, Fiona worked as a rooftop urban farmer, tending to gardens around the GTA and running educational events for corporate groups, tenants, and children. She is excited to use her years of experience and her passion for community engagement to continue to grow PACT's Thistletown CI site. She is looking forward to engaging with the community and students surrounding the space and continuing the work of transforming the space into a thriving urban farm.
