Become a PACT Volunteer

There are many ways to get involved with PACT. You can volunteer as a mentor at a life-skills project, help out at a school or community garden, facilitate a mediation circle or help us raise money. Volunteering with PACT provides a great opportunity to join a team of dedicated and passionate people, share your expertise and your unique life experiences and offer support to youth who may lack direction, self-esteem or opportunity.

Here are some examples of how you can volunteer with PACT:

  1. Volunteer as a mentor (and/or subject matter expert) at one of Life-skills projects.

  2. Work with youth in a schoolyard or community garden.

  3. Become a trained volunteer facilitator in our restorative victim/offender mediation program.

  4. Become a trained life coach in the Lifeplan Mentor-Coaching Program for the highest risk youth (must be available

  5. for a minimum one year period).

  6. Volunteer to help with PACT’s fundraiser events throughout the year.

  7. Provide in-kind professional services.

  8. Organize a third party fundraiser.


Self -directed process for becoming a PACT volunteer:

PACT is non-bureaucratic, de-centralized and grassroots. The process for volunteering is straightforward and mostly self-directed.

Here is the step-by-step process for becoming a volunteer with PACT:

Start by exploring the website; learn all about PACT and determine the area or capacity in which you would like to volunteer with our organization.

Next, contact Ben Marshall at 416-656-8824 or ben@pactprogram.ca. Ben will take down your basic contact info  including resume/bio, answer any initial questions and connect you with the appropriate project manager.

If there’s interest, then Ben will direct you through the remaining process including a police check and confidentiality agreement (required by all volunteers).
